Uniquely Singapore ... Sentosa's Song of the Sea

This is definitely a unique experience you can only have in Singapore! I got the chance to watch this new show last January 2008 when I attended a training. I made sure I will go to Sentosa after our training to watch this new show because before this one I was able to watch their first laser and fountain show starring Kiki (forgot the show title na) way back 2005 (Sentosa was not fully-developed then)! I am so impressed with the high tech effects I want to see what's more and new in this latest extravaganza.

This time the show will not disappoint you, it's called Songs of the Sea starring Oscar (the fish). The effects are all mesmerizing -- like pyrotechnics, water jets, brilliant lasers, special computer imaging, bursts of fire, captivating music and stunning flame bursts. This is the attraction not to be missed when you're in this country.

Family Day at Belair National Park

Last Saturday my hubby and I joined the Family Day organized by their company at Belair National Park. At first we're both having second thoughts of coming because it was raining and it was really cold, we thought we may not enjoy it.

Good thing we decided to still join because the park is really nice - there are a lot of trees, good picnic/barbecue area and lots of tennis courts (for those who likes to play). On our way back we even saw a Koala climbing in one of the trees (it's so cute!).

Bohol Philippines - God's Little Paradise ...Indeed

Before saying goodbye to my last company and moving here in Adelaide, our business partner invited us at Bohol for their summer outing...who wouldn't agree to join?? My last trip to Bohol was I think 2002 and I'm sure a lots have changed and what's more exciting is that we are staying at the newest place called Amorita Resort in Alona Beach, Panglao Island.

I was so excited because it will be our last (at the moment) summer vacation in the Philippines. I know what I'm going to miss once we move even then because I so love our beaches and the spas!!!

The day after our arrival, I woke up very early for our first activity... Dolphin Watching in Pamilican. All of us are hopeful that we can see dolphins so not to waste our effort to wake up early and see nothing!

Fortunately, the weather is good! Not waiting for too long, we were able to see lot's of dolphins jumping and spinning, some are even just a few feet away from our boat! They are really adorable and entertaining as if they know they have audience as they show off their acrobatic skills. They are all fun to watch and we really enjoyed taking videos and photos!

After that we had breakfast at the resort and join the Bohol Day Tour. First stop was at the oldest church in Baclayon called The Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception where we saw some of the church very old Santos and other things that priests uses.

Second stop was the cruise on Loboc River in one of their Floating Restaurant where we had lunch at the same time enjoying the magnificent scenery and listening to the live acoustic music.

Third stop is at the Chocolate Hills! The chocolate hills trek is more friendly now and interesting because there are photographers that have new gimmicks to give you the coolest shot (some sample shots they have are tourists with broomsticks left hanging above the chocolate hills as backdrop). But I just had the simple one though taken by one of my friend.

Our fourth stop was at the Hanging Bridge which I didn't finish crossing because there are so many people! So I just pose to have one picture and went back to the bus... hehe!

The last stop was at the Tarsiers zoo/sanctuary hehehe! Tarziers are the cutest, they are the smallest known primates, you can just put them on your palm! I remember putting them on top of my head and my shoulder during my first trip. But now, you can't touch or hold them and if you take pictures we are reminded to take the flash off our cameras.

Anyway, these are some of the highlights of our trip. I hope to be back here again soon! I really miss our beaches!!!

Punta Fuego Experience

I have always wanted to have a vacation at Punta Fuego ever since I heard of them from friends and their marketing campaigns. I know it's one of the best resort in Batangas.

Finally, before I left Manila, my employer had a business planning and outing there...a dream come true! He-he!

We stayed at Peninsula de Punta Fuego residential resort, it is located in Nasugbu, Batangas via Tagaytay-Nasugbu Tourism Highway (maybe around 2-hour drive from Makati).

This exclusive resort is such a blissful retreat! Their country club has a two-level infinity pool overlooking the South China Sea and its really beautiful sunset! I swear I really enjoyed watching the sunset while at their pool. You would want to think, reflect and just enjoy the moment. I will never forget also the very relaxing spa experience! We all needed it after our whole day planning ;)
